That your ways may be known on earth

About

Psalm 67 is one of the great missionary Psalms.  It's why we do what we do: to 'make God's ways known on earth, his salvation among all nations.' There is no better reason to be alive today!

We have some really Good News and a platform is simply a stage from which to proclaim it - loudly and clearly!

What makes us different?

For starters, we don't send missionaries from the UK. We do however absolutely love to support and encourage indigenous gospel workers serving around the world.

Then, we focus as much effort as we can on the least-reached around the world.  In terms of numbers, that means we look for areas where less than 2% of the population are considered evangelical Christians. (Estimates suggest that some 97% of missionaries today are working where the church is already established.)

Thirdly, we genuinely love to partner with others. You won't find a Platform 67 office overseas, or a mission school with our name on it.  We are all about helping other ministries that take the lead locally and have the skills and experience to do the work.

And lastly, we have great relationships in lots of places allowing us to support, for example, university work in Iceland at the same time as we help workers witnessing through social media in Central Asia, or feeding the homeless in Japan, or helping outreach in rural Cambodia, and many more beside. We can honestly say you won't find this same portfolio of gospel projects anywhere else in the world.

What's important to us?

Our work reflects what's really important to us - our values if you like.

Truth. We love the unfolding storyline of the Bible. It underpins all we do by showing us what God is like, what God does and what God says.

Prayer. It's a powerful expression of our dependence on the Lord, a means of praising Him, and of seeing His purposes realised in the world.

Faith. We trust daily in God's gracious provision at every point. We hold fast to the God-given perspectives we have inherited through the historic creeds and the Reformation, while working out our faith in today’s world.

Gospel. We want to see God praised among the under-reached and the least-reached.

Obedience. It may mean hardship but it also means a thirst for Christlikeness and selflessness. As a result, we pursue the highest standards of integrity, financial accountability and stewardship.

Service. All our staff have long term, cross-cultural missions experience that helps shape how we work today. We have the greatest respect for local leaders and locally-led ministries and take joy in seeing them drive gospel work forward.

Community. Indeed our job is to support local churches in missions until God's glory fills every corner of creation.

And, not least...

Simplicity. We aim to send as many resources as possible to cross-cultural work. We don't take any administrative cut from funds given to projects. We don't send missionaries of our own. Instead, we link with gospel ministries around the world that share a common burden for the unreached.

How we do it

Bible teaching

We work from the premise that a congregation that is informed and educated about the Bible and the world, will, in the long-run, better engage in global missions. Opening up the Bible, we help churches see God's big plan for the nations.

Frontline projects*

We are convinced that networking is the way forward and so we partner with like-minded workers to support locally-led, gospel-driven, cross-cultural work.

Informing prayer

Regular email news keeping prayer informed for the least-reached and those ministering to them.

Resourcing churches

Equipping congregations with tools for the task of making Christ known everywhere.

*Please note we receive many more requests for help than we can handle.  Thank you for taking the time to get in touch but please be aware we simply cannot respond to every letter and this is no slight on your ministry.
